1 for 1 Ala Carte Steamboat buffet at Peach Garden is offering a promotion of $48++ per pax. Make that even better with their 1 for 1 promotion, which adds up to just $24++ per pax. I know, too good to be true.
Currently, the 4-tier steamboat buffet is available at Thomson Plaza and Metropolis. The Metropolis outlet has a different promotion where one dines free with three paying adults at $33.80 ++ per pax.
For the ala carte steamboat buffet, you get to choose from over 40 items and receive 20% discount for each order of tiger beer.
From the ala carte steamboat buffet menu, you get to choose the soup base you desire, such as Mala soup, Herbal soup and Pork Bone soup, to name a few. There are three complimentary appetisers to choose from namely the Deep-fried Fish Skin, Stir-fried Bitter Gourd and Salted Egg Yolk and Diced Chicken with Fried Chilli.
Mmhm, the fish skin. So crisp, that it tasted like munching on salted yolk chips. This is insanely good that we polish the dish within minutes. The best part? It’s free-flow!
We enjoy the appetisers while waiting eagerly for the rest of the food to be cooked at the steamboat.
The bottom tier is for the soup, followed by a BBQ section, then a warmer (to place the food you have cooked) and the top tier is a steamer (for dim sum, fish, shellfish).
The ingredients are fresh. There is an assortment of seafood such as flower crab (one serving per table), sea clam, sea bass, big prawns, fish maw and fish ball.
As for the meats, there is lamb, beef, pork, chicken fillet, sausages and luncheon meat as well. You could either BBQ them or have them Sukiyaki. Try not to cook too long, this is to retain the tenderness in the meats.
Quite an enjoyable process, to bbq and slurp on the comforting broth all at once; Savour some dim sum retrieved from the steamer and down a few rounds of beers.
Be your own dim sum chef at Peach Garden by cooking your own Steamed Chives Dumpling and Steamed Shanghainese Xiao Long Bao.
There are three types of desserts on the buffet menu: Chilled Almond Longan, Chilled Mango with Sago and Pomelo and Chilled Jelly Royale with Julienne of Coconut.
The ala carte steamboat buffet at Peach Garden is a pretty interesting concept with the tiered steamboat pot.
One of the most valuable buffets in Singapore.
