If you’re wondering how you can live your own tale as old as time, you’re welcome to head down to Japan’s Vino Buono to savour a delightful Beauty and the Beast-themed spread.
The buffet will be available at this location only on specific dates, so be sure to make your reservation if you want to go on this magical journey.
Dubbed “Princess Afternoon Tea”, there’s no doubt you’ll feel like Princess Belle dining at the castle during one of her first few nights there. A beautiful spread, the buffet features assorted sweet and savoury items inspired by the famous story.
For starters, there’s the Princess Rose Citron Opera, designed intricately with a little crown sitting atop the piece of cake. Right beside the Princess Rose Citron Opera, we see two Strawberry Parfaits, modelled after the candlesticks from Belle’s candelabra companion, Lumière—absolutely adorable!
Right in the middle of the dessert stand, there are beautiful Milk Tea Jelly, Strawberry Tarts, and Passionfruit Macarons.
On the last stand sits the Heart Strawberry Mousse and the Beast Chocolate Banana Cream Puffs. I love how the Heart Strawberry Mousse is topped with a miniature single rose, the iconic symbol in the whole story of Beauty and the Beast.
If you’re too overwhelmed by the sweet treats, they offer Beast’s Meat Pies, Belle’s Open Sandwiches, Beast’s Soup de Poisson, and Spring Bean Salad as savoury options.
The buffet will be available at two other locations, but those who dine at Vino Buono get the privilege of overlooking the Aoyama St. Grace Cathedral as they dine, said to resemble the Beast’s castle in the story.
The other two locations are Ristorante Mangiale Water Edge in Yokohama and Shikitei Cafe & Restaurant in Saitama Prefecture. There are different time periods for every location, and they’re extremely specific, so be sure to make your reservations early.
At JP¥3,360, you’ll be able to enjoy a Disney fairytale over a meal at one of the three locations. If you’re planning to go to any of these places, be sure to drop by this adorable spread—I definitely would if I could.
