It’s time to add another Singapore-inspired sweet treat to your bucket list of National Day specials to enjoy this August. The popular pretzel brand, Auntie Anne’s, has just launched two new pretzel flavours in the nostalgic flavours of Ovaltine and Horlicks.

The Ovaltine Crunchy Pop with White Chocolate Eclair Pretzel is a pretzel coated in white chocolate and sprinkled with malty Ovaltine powder and crunchy bits. The Horlicks with White Chocolate Eclair Pretzel is similarly covered in white chocolate, and dusted with Horlicks powder. Each of Auntie Anne’s new pretzels costs S$4.10 and will only be available from 1 August to 31 August 2022.

Additionally, in the month of August, all of Auntie Anne’s chocolate flavoured pretzels will only be available in white chocolate, as opposed to milk chocolate. If you’re looking to purchase their classic Chocolate Eclair Pretzel (S$3.60), take note that it will be coated in white chocolate for this month only.

If Auntie Anne’s Ovaltine Crunchy Pop with White Chocolate Eclair Pretzel and Horlicks with White Chocolate Eclair Pretzel do not interest you, you can still enjoy their selection of permanent pretzel flavours. Their sweet options include the Almond Crunch Pretzel (S$3.60), Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel (S$3.60) and Cinnamon Raisin Pretzel (S$3.60).

Why not go for a savoury pretzel, like Parmesan Cheese (S$3.60), Sour Cream and Onion (S$3.60), Seaweed (S$3.60), Garlic (S$3.60) or Cheezy Turkey (S$4.10)? They also have unique offerings such as the Zesty Roselle Pretzel (S$3.60), Matcha Green Tea Pretzel (S$3.60) and Chocolate Mint Pretzel (S$3.60).

As someone who grew up drinking Ovaltine and Horlicks, Auntie Anne’s new flavours certainly bring back old memories and I’m excited to try them.
