Blue Jasmine New Menu 1

It’s always nice to find places in Singapore that serves up authentic Thai fare. Blue Jasmine, located within Park Hotel Farrer Park, decided to introduce a few new dishes that promise to impress.

Blue Jasmine New Menu 2

Unlike the fluffy Thai omelettes you get, they offer the Cha-Om Fried Egg (S$12++). This version is fried, thinly sliced and rolled.

Its texture still remained soft, while the acacia leaves within the omelette gave it a crunchy texture.

Blue Jasmine New Menu 3

We were really impressed by the chilli dip that came with the omelette. Within the dip is a mixture of shrimp, chilli, garlic and pea eggplant, all pounded to release the essence of each ingredient. It definitely lent the fragrant omelette a tangy and spicy kick.

Blue Jasmine New Menu 4

Blue Jasmine offers a range of curries that goes well with a plate of warm rice. We managed to try the Yellow River Prawn Curry (S$26++) and Chicken Green Curry (S$24++).

The green curry may not be exactly green in colour (more like a yellow?) but it did taste creamier and slightly spicier than usual. But we felt the curries didn’t stand out much and you can get similar quality for a lower price as well.

Blue Jasmine New Menu 5

For noodles lovers, this Thai Fried Kueh Teow (S$18++) didn’t disappoint as much as the curries. Its generous portion makes it perfect for sharing between two people especially if you’re having other dishes.

Stir-fried with just the right amount of ingredients and seasoning, the Kueh Teow is savoury with a slight hint of spiciness. In addition, it wasn’t too greasy making it easily palatable. I would definitely recommend you try it.

If you’re not super fussy, treat yourself to a range of yummy Thai dishes without pork or lard at Blue Jasmine! Do note that Blue Jasmine is no longer Halal-certified.

An ideal dinner would be fresh sashimi and a slice (or two) of cheesy pizza.
