If I think back to the wild and discombobulating times of ‘Circuit Breaker’, I think the one silver lining was all the coffee deliveries that kept us all sane during that period of time. But, just like Olivia Rodrigo sings on ‘Deja Vu‘, indeed, I did get deja vu when the government announced all the implementation of Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) for the second time.
And now, while we’re back to our WFH schedule and eating homecooked food, it seems like some coffee is in order. That’s right, we’re calling all caffeine addicts who treat this drink like their holy grail–here are 10 coffee deliveries that cater more than just cold brew.
If you are over that whole cold brew stuff, Kopiboy.sg is where you can get local-style coffee delivered straight to you. A cold brew that’s made with Robusta beans and are brewed by an award-winning barista, this bottle of Authentic Kopi (S$5) is what you need to deflect bougieness. Otherwise, their current seasonal special, the Nutella Latte (S$5), will chase your Phase 2 (HA) blues away. Finally, for those a little sensitive to caffeine, have this caramel coloured Teh Tarik (S$5) because local tea’s fantastic any day, right?
Of course, I’ve only scratched the surface of what Kopiboy.sg offers. You can check out Kopiboy.sg’s entire range of drinks and delivery fees right here.
Bringing the bar right to your living room is LAIBA; with the range of take-home cocktails, you can be a mixologist right there at home. Plus, who are we kidding, we all need a drink given the times. So, if you must have your coffee, then have the Cold Brew Martini (S$12.50). This is LAIBA’s take on the Espresso Martini.
So, expect a rich blend of sweet and luxurious flavours to make a decadent Monday evening (or morning). You’ll love how the smooth finish of the cold brew coffee pairs with the heavenly sweet taste of vanilla, chocolate, and caramel. The best part of LAIBA is that you can order a single bottle, or a pack of six if the need ever arises. Moreover, you can throw in a couple of their cocktails as well, and that’s your week made.
We all need a little magic now and then. With a line-up of twelve drinks, Mosanco Enchanted Cafe is surely the purveyor of fairy dust. Of course, we’ve talked about their rather epic Snow White & The 7 Dwarfs (S$50), which is a colour-coordinated set featuring the likes of Black Coffee, Mocha, and their signature Bandung. A real treat for those that love variety, but I’ve got my eyes on the new Rocha Cold Brew (S$6.90), which is coffee with floral and bittersweet notes of chocolate.
Otherwise, the Coldbrew Orange (S$6.90) would be a nice citrusy change to your normal Cold Brew White Coffee. The best part is that they have 24-hour delivery, so no matter the time you need your cold brew, Mosanco Enchanted Cafe is there.
You’ll know The Bravery from the bustling streets of Jalan Besar, and now at their new home at Amoy, the good times seem to keep rolling. Admittedly, we weren’t the biggest fans of the mains there, but we did enjoy their signature Lavender Latte (S$6). As the name suggests, it is one of those calming drinks one needs during a tumultuous time like this. If you must, then you can throw in some of their signature Cold Brew White (S$7.50) or an earthy Matcha Latte (S$6) for good measure.
All you have to do is to text +65 9388 2973, and you can get these drinks delivered right to your doorstep. Also, if you opt for curbside pick up, you’ll enjoy 15% off your total bill with a minimum order of S$50.
Opened in 2013, Tanamera Coffee has been committed to sharing the flavours of Indonesian Arabica coffee beans to make them accessible and easy to enjoy. It’s a coffee joint that collaborates closely with coffee farmers across Indonesia. Each variety of coffee has its customised roasting profile to optimise its unique flavours, notes, and aromas. So while you could have their Cold White (S$6.50), but take their Cold White Ginger (S$6.80) for a spicy kick of ginger to awake the senses.
If not, the Cold White Coconut (S$6.80) is reminiscent of cancelled beach holidays and sunscreen (reef safe, of course). Besides coffee, Tanamera Coffee also offers a whole host of Indonesian mains to go along with your coffee which you can take a look at here.
Just like Tanamera Coffee, Fangko Coffee is all about serving authentic Indonesian food such as ayam rendang and nasi lemak ayam berempah. While I love a good hearty Indonesian meal, their coffee is what you’ll want, like this Avocado Coffee (S$8.80) that combines all bougie things we love, avocado and coffee. If you know me, gula melaka is truly my kryptonite, so this Gula Melaka Kopi (S$8) is exactly what I need on a Monday (or is it Tuesday now? I lose track).
You can place your orders with Fangko Coffee here, and the caffeine awaits.
It’s unusual that your caffeine addiction can help someone else, but Mad Roaster brings coffee for a cause to another level (or country, if you will). For every cup of joe, S$0.50 goes to a refugee in Thailand that assists them financially with rent and food. Take your pick from staples such as the Black Cold Brew ($4.50), White Cold Brew ($5), or break the routine with a cup of Cereal Milk Cold Brew ($5.50). Who knows? Your morning cuppa might just taste extra sweet. Mad Roaster is available for order here, and self-pickup from Amoy Street Market.
Here’s another way for you to make do good with your daily coffee fix—Imperfect Drinks is partnering with Changi Prison Complex that helps to create jobs as part of rehabilitation processes for more than 60 ex-convicts. Their line-up includes familiar go-to’s such as Cold Brews (S$5.90) in black, white, and oat milk variations. Get the best of all worlds with the Build Your Own Bundle (S$35), which consists of six bottles, perfect for your long WFH afternoons. Imperfect Dreams offers free delivery for orders above S$70.
No self-declared coffee connoisseur hasn’t heard of Bootstrap Beverages, and for good reason because they are known to deliver strong, cold brews that pack a punch. If you’re thinking of trying something different from your usual black cold brew, give their Milk & Manuka Honey Cold Brew Coffee (S$39) a shot (pun intended). They also offer a Mix Pack (S$35) featuring a variety of coffee–for you to get the best of all worlds every morning. Bootstrap Beverages also offers free islandwide doorstep delivery with every order, no minimum spend required.
Just a heads up, because Old Hen Coffee is not for the faint of heart. Say goodbye to small bottles of cold brew that leave you craving another one an hour later. Those that need extra fuel can opt for Old Hen’s 1L White Cold Brew (S$19.90), guaranteed to satisfy even the strongest caffeine addiction. Otherwise, opt for their single-serve Black Cold Brew (S$6.90) and Cold Oat Coffee (S$7.90). They currently offer free delivery for orders above S$55 and are available on foodpanda, Deliveroo, and GrabFood.
