For many, yakiniku (the name for barbecue in Japan) is their go-to comfort food. However, not many would think of having yakiniku on the go. Instead of sitting in front of a flaming grill and cooking your meat, you can now enjoy them in the form of convenient Japanese rice sandwiches at #ricesando. Quick, affordable, and fuss-free— what more can you ask for?

Located at the basement of Plaza Singapura, #ricesando now brings you that experience. From prices as low as S$5.40, you’ll be able to enjoy mouth-watering and flame-seared grilled meats on the go. Their wide selection includes Hokkaido pork and Japanese wagyu, among many other premium choices that will leave you spoilt for choice.

Introducing their main star: A5 Wagyu Yakiniku Karubi (S$12.80).

Get ready for a savoury experience, as the buttery wagyu is grilled to juicy perfection and assembled on the spot. All of the tender wagyu slices will be marinated in a soy sauce blend, layered with a sunny side up egg, and sandwiched between fluffy Japanese rice, lettuce and a nori sheet.

Besides, you can also enjoy their regular Yakiniku Karubi at S$8.80.

Another item to keep an eye on is #ricesando’s Hokkaido Pork Yakiniku (S$6.80).

The pork used in this sandwich comes from pigs raised in Hidaka, a town in Hokkaido. The pigs are raised in a stress-free and pristine environment, and as such, their meat is succulent and robust. Coupled with robust flavours, this makes for a perfect handy meal to-go.

Alternatively, you can opt for #ricesando’s classic Pork Yakiniku (S$5.40) as well.
