I don’t think I’m making an overstatement by saying that every Singaporean has tried, or at least heard of, the legendary Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Their Michelin Bib Gourmand-approved bak kut teh broth definitely ranks top-tier in the hearts of many of us, and now, the brand is venturing into the realm of another comfort food with Song Fa Kway Chap.

Located at Northshore Plaza, their casual 60-seater restaurant will be serving up piping plates of Teochew rice noodle sheets with soup gravy and braised meats such as offal, pork, and duck. You can expect your next comforting meal of kway chap to be an affordable and fulfilling one. Song Fa Kway Chap is offering a Kway Chap Set for 1 (S$6+), which is served with generous portions of braised intestines, pork belly, tau pok, braised egg and more.

Song Fa Kway Chap will also feature the familiar flavours of their bak kut teh through their Peppery Kway Chap Deluxe Set (price TBC), with a peppery broth that’s topped with minced pork. If kway chap isn’t your thing, that’s okay, I feel ya. Don’t worry about it, because the restaurant also has claypot options if you’ve been asked to tag along. They have a Braised Duck Rice Set (S$7.20) that’s served with yam rice, along with communal-style claypot options like Claypot Spicy Chicken (S$8.80)Claypot Spicy Pork Ribs (S$9.90), and Claypot Sesame Oil Pig’s Liver (S$7.50).
