As we near the end of 2020, it works out beautifully that we’ve reached our 20th episode of ‘Tapau Please’. To wrap up the last few episodes for the year, we invited one of our writer-interns, Ping Er, to share with us her editorial journey throughout her four-month internship.
She waxes lyrical about how she came about to her decision to hop on-board with our team, the compromises she’s had to make, as well as the more memorable moments of her time with us. Taking on an internship with SethLui.com is more than just a job of churning articles and eating for free (sometimes). It’s a prime place to start if you’re seriously looking to sharpen your creative writing and copywriting skills, all while priming yourself for the real world of journalism with a nose for food news and discipline for deadlines.
All’s not work and no play here either, as we are a tight-knit family (of full-timers and interns alike) who shares plenty of laughs and advice for anyone who’s looking for an approachable mentor. But, of course, don’t take our word for it; listen to this episode and Ping Er will enlighten you with all that an internship here entails (and so much more).
If you or a friend are looking for an editorial internship for 2021, please don’t hesitate to send your CV and writing samples to us. We vet every application we receive, so be patient and you might just have what we need!
For all our past episodes of ‘Tapau Please’, we currently have them on Spotify and Podbean for your listening pleasure and convenience so spread the word and make ‘Tapau Please’ your next go-to Singapore podcast for all things food-related.
