New in town: Wanton Seng’s Eating House, Promenade — A modern take on wanton mee

If you frequent Amoy Street, you would have definitely heard of Wanton Seng’s Noodle Bar. After all, this eatery has made quite a name for itself with its bold, modern take on the humble wanton mee. In an attempt to venture beyond Amoy, the brand has opened its largest location in Singapore—a contemporary space within Millenia Walk that is able to comfortably house up to 88 dine-in customers with both indoor and outdoor seatings. Introducing, Wanton Seng’s Eating House

For the uninitiated, both Wanton Seng’s Noodle Bar and Wanton Seng’s Eating House started from the original Seng’s Wanton Noodles located at Dunman Food Centre. With the aim of preserving a piece of Singapore’s culinary history, Wanton Seng’s Eating House was birthed as its founders’ form of paying homage to this particular street food while injecting their personal and current cultural influences into the dining experience.

Like its predecessor at Amoy Street, this new venture is also constantly on an ongoing journey of experimentation. While classics such as the Seng’s Char Siu Noodles (S$9.80) and Signature Char Siu Noodles (S$12.80) remain uninterrupted, the eatery continues to dish out new creations that will keep diners going back for more.

To complement their existing menu, expect to savour brand new additions including the HK Seafood Noodle Soup (S$ 14.80), Four Egg Noodles (S$ 14.80) and Mala Mince Meat Noodles (S$ 9.80) here at Wanton Seng’s Eating House.

Aside from the restaurant’s unique take on the everyday noodles, the ambience at Wanton Seng’s Eating House also promises to be unlike any other wanton mee eatery. Since the founders are both huge hip-hop nerds, you will be basking in the beats and rhythms of The Notorious B.I.G. and Dr. Dre whilst enjoying a comforting bowl of noodles. The eatery even has a killer Spotify playlist for fellow hip-hop lovers to groove along to even in the comforts of your homes.
