It’s no surprise that we Singaporeans often cross the border for affordable food, making JB a hotspot to stuff ourselves like turkeys.
One thing we particularly love about JB is its buffet options (how could we not?) – and Super Steamboat has recently made waves on TikTok as a hidden gem offering the most value-for-money buffet. Featuring a wide assortment of meats, cooked dishes, seafood, desserts, and more, all for only RM69 nett (approx. S$20)!
Located about 20 minutes from customs, this underrated hotpot and barbeque place is mostly frequented by locals, offering all-inclusive buffet ingredients for you to choose from.
Take your pick from raw meats, seafood, vegetables, freshly cooked mains, and seafood dishes. Don’t forget the desserts, including freshly made waffles you can customise with your choice of toppings, ice-cold bingsu, and fountain drinks to beat the heat – and that’s just the beginning!
Unlike other hotpot stalls that charge extra for miscellaneous items like soup bases, condiments, and sides, Super Steamboat includes all of these in your buffet price – talk about a steal.
The best part? They’re open until 12am daily, making it a great spot for all your late-night cravings. Remember to bring your appetite – with such a vast array of options, you’ll want to sample as much as possible to get the full experience.
While we’ve yet to try the buffet ourselves, their high Google ratings and social media raves have us itching to check it out in the near future!
