Upgrade your regular chips with Antoinette’s Mala Chips (S$15/bottle) to awe the whole family. The light yet sharp punch of heat from the spices packed a delectable, hot treat. Literally.

With most Singaporeans resonating with the mala frenzy, I’m positive you’re going to need more than one bottle of these addictive chips.

Cue the drum rolls please — Antoinette has revealed their CNY cake Abundantly (S$38), which is essentially a sweet potato chiffon cake with pearls, candied yam and sweet potato cubes.

You heard that right, those familiar bubble tea pearls nestle as one of the core toppings of this treat. Yum.

The purple chiffon cake was fluffy and moist which left almost all of us wide-eyed upon the first bite. The ingenious pairing of salted cream cheese that flowed down like a waterfall atop the cake matched perfectly like two jigsaw pieces.

Plus those tapioca pearls instantaneously makes this one of the trendiest bakes out there. Bring in the Chinese New Year by inviting windfalls of wealth. Or should I say, cream cheese?

They’ve also got Hong Bao  (S$10/small, S$15/large) which translates to ‘red packet’. The red dragon fruit-infused bun is stuffed with mochi made in-house, and a plethora of ingredients, such as black sugar, candied yam and salted egg.

Look out for a dessert version of Antoinette’s yusheng, and Singapore-inspired cookie collection featuring flavours such as Ondeh Ondeh (coconut glutinous rice balls) and Haebee Hiam (spicy fried shrimp paste). Talk about originality!
