It takes an admirable amount of courage to chase your passions—the journey is never easy, and the road is often full of hurdles. It will pay off, and especially so for Leon Lim, who participated in MasterChef Singapore Season 2 and emerged runner-up. He has since opened a cafe Creatr., along Stirling Road, where fans of the show can enjoy his locally-inspired dishes.

Creatr. is officially halal-certified by MUIS, which means that our Muslim friends can now enjoy Leon’s food as well. His cafe was opened in collaboration with Three’s A Crowd, a halal ice cream joint. Leon is currently a consultant to the café, and falls back on his passion and experience gained from Masterchef.

If you’re popping by Creatr. for a visit, you’ll be able to catch sight and take photographs together with Leon’s MasterChef apron, proudly hung on display.

Creatr. has also launched a new seasonal menu, which features an Ayam Penyet Burger (s$19.90), which is smothered with sambal aioli and kaffir lime, and comes served with tofu and tempeh fries. The café boasts a range of local, hawker-style food with a unique contemporary twist. His rotating menu has featured Coffee Ragu Pasta, Rojak Roll with Churro, and other dishes in the past, which means you can delight in the unexpectedness of your meal there.

Finish off your meal at Creatr. with a generous helping of dessert—Kaya and Speculoos Gelato (S$5.50), or even tapau home a Pint (S$22) if you’d like some more afterwards. The seasonal menu at Creatr. will be changed at the end of the month, and is available for dining-in, takeaway and pickups, as well as islandwide delivery (S$15).
