When you think of Resorts World Sentosa, what comes to mind? Universal Studios? The upcoming Halloween Horror Nights? Well, from now till 1 Nov 2026, the Festival of Thrills will bring you island-wide exhilarating activities to experience.
From meet-and-greets with adorable mascots to neon installations in the Singapore Oceanarium, there’s much to explore and discover.
What I experienced at the Festival of Thrills
I find the Singapore Oceanarium to be a beautiful place, home to all forms of aquatic life. It’s mesmerising to watch the animals glide through the serene waters. With Into The Glowcean, the oceanarium will be transformed into a luminous underwater world for an exciting experience. Be sure to snap a picture at the photo spot located at the entrance of the oceanarium before you head in.
The highlight for me is Oceanic Glow, a series of bright neon installations scattered across different zones within the oceanarium. Made by Megan Foo, Singapore’s only traditional handcrafted glass neon artist, these installations light up the area with electric neon hues.
I especially like how the installations are not only pleasing to the eyes; they also serve as artistic interpretations of how marine animals use light in many different ways, be it for communication, hunting, camouflage and more.
If you want to capture some glowing memories, head to the Ocean Dome and experience light painting in a photo booth. No, you’re not literally painting with light. Basically, you pick up neon glowsticks, move them around, and your final photo will feature magical neon trails of light. Into The Glowcean will run daily from 10am – 8pm till 1 Nov 2026. Tickets retail from S$55 per adult, S$43 per child and senior aged 60 and above.
Fancy a treasure hunt? Legend Keepers: The Ocean Spirit Awakens is a daytime experience located at Adventure Cove Waterpark for families and young explorers. I felt like I was on an expedition, embarking on a journey across 5 locations in the waterpark through the app-guided experience.
I liked that the locations were inspired by local legends, such as Kusu Island, Sisters’ Island and more, which made for family-friendly, wholesome fun, as values such as kindness, courage and loyalty were among the themes.
Later in the day, the game transforms entirely. The experience turns into Pool Party Panic, an immersive murder mystery experience. This takes place every Sat, beginning as a neon-drenched pool party before the music and lights mysteriously stop. When they return, guests discover bodies scattered around the pool.
I learnt from the guides that the experience is an interactive ‘whodunnit’, where you’ll get to live out your Sherlock dreams, solving puzzles, investigating crime scenes and obtaining confessions from potential suspects.
Do note that Pool Party Panic contains gore and is appropriate for 18+ only. These 2 events are included with every Adventure Cove Waterpark 1-day ticket. Legend Keepers: The Ocean Spirit Awakens will run from 10am – 5pm on Mon to Fri and Sun, and 10am – 4pm on Sat, while Pool Party Panic will run from 4pm – 8pm on Sat. Tickets retail from S$34 per adult and S$29 per child.

Calling all motorsports fans: race to WEAVE Mall to try out their exciting motorsports activations. Located at Level 1, outside Birkenstock till 10 Oct 2026, from 10am – 10pm. You’ll be able to experience what it’s like to be an F1 driver here.
The Cockpit Command is a racing simulator where you get into the racer’s seat and strap yourself in to experience the sport first-hand. I particularly liked the realistic feel and physics of the experience, with the force-feedback wheel and responsive pedals.
Now, what’s a festival of thrills without the iconic Halloween Horror Nights? It’s returning to Universal Studios Singapore for its 14th edition from 25 Sep to 1 Nov 2026 on 18 select nights. Halloween Horror Nights 14 will run from 7.30pm to 12.30am.
I’m most pumped for the karang guni shop haunted house, but there’ll be 3 others, including a broadcasting studio, a robotics facility and a vaudeville house. Besides the haunted houses, there’ll be 2 immersive zones and horror-themed live shows for an adrenaline-fuelled night full of nerve-wracking scares.
That’s not all; Universal Studios Singapore will have its very own Trick or Thrills event as well, appropriate for guests of all ages. Be prepared to say bello to the Minions as they’ll be starring in a new live show, The Belloween Ball. You’ll also be able to take pictures with other characters from the Despicable Me franchise, such as Gru, Lucy, Margo, Agnes and Edith.
You can also look forward to park-wide meet-and-greets from various other characters. If you like Sanrio, good news: Kuromi will be donning her special Halloween outfit, so take a fabulous photo with her.
Who else watched Sesame Street growing up? You’ll also be able to take photos with your childhood favourites, Count von Count, Elmo and Cookie Monster. Trick or Thrills is included with regular admission tickets to Universal Studios Singapore, so be sure to catch The Belloween Ball and snap pictures with the mascots. Trick or Thrills will run daily from 10am – 8pm till 1 Nov 2026. Tickets retail from S$76 per adult and S$69 per child.

How to get to the Festival of Thrills?
Festival of Thrills takes place across Resorts World Sentosa. The nearest MRT station to Resorts World Sentosa is HarbourFront (NE1/CC29). Head to Level 3, Lobby L of VivoCity and board the Sentosa Express for S$4 to reach Resorts World Sentosa.
If you want to travel by bus, take bus RWS8 from HarbourFront MRT Exit C. The inbound fare for RWS8 is S$1. Bus 123 also goes directly to Resorts World Sentosa. For both buses, alight at Resorts World Sentosa B1 Transport Hub bus stop.
If you’re feeling athletic, you can also reach Resorts World Sentosa on foot. Simply alight at HarbourFront (NE1/CC29) MRT station, walk through VivoCity Lobby F at Level 1, and cross the Sentosa Boardwalk. When you reach Resorts World Sentosa, proceed to B1.
