Greenview Cafe is closing its Far East Plaza outlet and relocating to Ang Mo Kio.

Located on Level 4 of Far East Plaza, this iconic cafe has been around since 1983 and is best known for its signature handmade Mee Hoon Kueh. Their extensive menu is not limited to Minced Pork Mee Hoon Kueh (S$6.90) but also features Prawn Mee Hoon Kueh (S$7.90), Fried Mee Hoon Kueh (S$7.90) and even Mala Mee Hoon Kueh (S$10.90).

Their fried mee hoon kueh is a crowd favourite, with diners comparing its taste to char kway teow. The mee hoon kueh has that signature wok hei taste, well-loved amongst locals, for being springy and chewy.

Their mala mee hoon kueh combines the fiery kick of spice as well as the delicate, silky mee hoon kueh to produce a dish that has bold and lasting flavours.

Another underrated main would be their Seafood Hor Fun (S$8.90), which is smoky and savoury, coated with the thick, eggy sauce.
As Greenview Cafe closes its outlet at Far East Plaza, the owners have chosen to relocate to a hawker stall at 122 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 to keep the business alive.
This relocation will come with a more compact menu, along with lower price points for their dishes.
The average price point of their mains, currently ranging from S$7 to S$10, is expected to drop to around S$5 at their new outlet. This may be in line with the lower rental costs that come with operating a hawker stall (according to CNA), as well as ensuring greater affordability for customers while matching the prices at surrounding stalls.
Greenview Cafe in Orchard closes officially on 30 Jun, so be sure to come down and give them your support, especially if their Ang Mo Kio outlet is even further for you.
