With the haze levels in Singapore worsening, eligible residents can collect 1 pack of 2 N95 masks to protect themselves against the harmful air. The masks can be obtained via mask vending machines or at Community Clubs (CCs) island-wide. The machines are available at selected public transport hubs, Social Service Offices and People’s Association (PA) venues.

The initiative supports vulnerable Singaporeans during severe haze. N95 masks filter fine particles, including PM2.5, a primary pollutant during haze episodes.
Who is eligible for free N95 masks?

The following Singaporeans can collect free N95 masks using their NRICs:
- Pioneer Generation (PG)
- Merdeka Generation (MG)
- CHAS Orange/Blue card holders
- Medical Fee Exemption Card (MFEC) holders
- ComCare Assistance recipients
- Pregnant women
- Children aged 7 – 16 years old
- Individuals with medical conditions such as asthma
Where should eligible persons redeem the free N95 masks?
| Collection location | Eligible persons |
| Mask vending machines at selected public transport hubs, Social Service Offices and PA venues | PG and MG members, CHAS Orange/Blue card holders, MFEC holders, and ComCare Assistance recipients |
| PA Community Clubs (CCs) | All eligible groups, including pregnant women, children aged 7 – 16 years old, and individuals with medical conditions such as asthma. |
Find a mask collection point here. Eligible persons should bring along their NRIC to the collection points for redemption. Alternatively, family members or friends may also collect the masks on their behalf using the eligible person’s NRIC.
What else should you take note of?
Please note that N95 masks are unnecessary for brief outdoor exposure, such as commuting to work or walking between a bus stop and a mall. They are also not required indoors. Do note that individuals with breathing difficulties at rest or on exertion should seek medical advice from their doctors before wearing an N95 mask. Take breaks when needed.
You can also seek respite at haze shelters when the PSI enters the Very Unhealthy range (PSI>200). These shelters are air-conditioned rooms in CCs and selected Residents’ Committee (RC) and Residents’ Network (RN) Centres.
