*Cue O.T. Genasis* “I’m in love with the CoCo”, no not Cocaine like the singer’s intent, but I’m talking about COCONUTS!

Froyo (Frozen Yogurt) was so 2000 and late, now here’s something that will be catching on big waves, especially if you’re an avid coconut water drinker.

Introducing, Froco from HUSK. Yas! It’s Frozen Coconut, made from young and fresh Thai coconuts imported directly from the best coconut plantations in Thailand — think hydration in a form of dessert. I can eat it all day.

Located at Plaza Singapura’s basement two, it’s not difficult to miss the stall, all decked in striking turquoise and yellow, and wooden accents.

One glance and it shouts aloha, or tiki-inspired, almost like we’ve been transported to the beach. More so with its friendly staffs welcoming you with samples of the froco.

We wanted to go for the Short ($3.80) with two additional toppings that are priced at ($0.80 each), but was suggested by the staff to have the Coco Parfait ($6.50) instead, as it comes with any three toppings, making it more valuable for money.

The cup is first filled with a layer of froco, stacked upon with our choice of mango, watermelon, and HM granola that comes with bits of dried cranberries. Then topped over with a fair height of froco swirl, complete with a wooden spoon to enjoy with.

You could have this as a meal replacement, or enjoy it with a friend as a dessert to hit all your sweet spots in the right way after a meal.

You don’t even have to watch your waistline with the froco, it’s low in sugar, calories and saturated fat. High in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acid that is good for the heart. Add on those healthier fruit toppings and your nutrients department is well looked after.

Wasn’t quite sure to expect what froco would taste like, but it superseded my expectations. I was glad it wasn’t rich and creamy like the coconut ice cream you get from Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok which were too milky and rich for my liking.

Froco is smooth and light, yet distinctive in its coconut taste. It wasn’t too sweet, and it tasted all natural, I love that it melts right in your mouth. A mouthful of delight!

On days when you’re not feeling so much for a dessert, HUSK offers a hearty selection of froco smoothies that will keep your equilibrium balanced. There are some flavours that will boost your immunity, and others that will keep you hydrated and refreshed.

I’m a froco convert now. That’s how much HUSK has won me over, I’m sold, I’ll be craving for more, and I’ll definitely be back for more knowing that this is a healthier dessert option. Let me know if you feel the same way too.

Expected damage: $3.80 – $6.50
