First impressions are important, and a good fitted suit makes an impression few other outfits can match. Simply donning one somehow imbues the wearer with a confidence that cannot be faked or forced. If impressions matter, give yourself an advantage with a custom suit from one of the best tailors in Singapore.

Our list of the 11 best tailors in Singapore includes heritage suiting houses in Singapore that have made their names over decades, as well as new, tech-forward names that use 3D body scans for the perfect fit.

1. Ron & Rich
If you’re looking for that perfect balance of heritage artistry and a modern, breathable silhouette, Ron & Rich is the first name to know.

Founded in 1979 by master tailor Richard Fan, this is a true Singapore legacy brand. Today, the father-son duo of Richard and Aaron Fan lead the charge, seamlessly blending decades of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities.
Unlike many labels that outsource their production, Ron & Rich prides itself on being exclusively and completely Made in Singapore. They operate their very own in-house workshop, where a dedicated team of local craftsmen meticulously hand-cut and sew every garment.
While many old-school tailors lean towards a stiff, British structure, Ron & Rich focuses on the Italian cut. This style is celebrated for its lightweight construction, softer shoulders and a more fluid drape, essentially the Goldilocks of tailoring for our heat and humidity. It gives you that effortless sprezzatura vibe while maintaining a razor-sharp silhouette.

Of course, a master cut requires master materials. The extensive Ron & Rich library comprises the finest European fabrics, featuring heavyweights like Zegna, Loro Piana, Scabal, Dormeuil and Piacenza. Whether you’re after a high-twist wool for business travel or a luxurious silk-linen blend for a beach wedding, the quality here is second to none.

If you’re ready to graduate from off-the-rack to a garment that actually tells a story, Richard and Aaron are the experts you want in your corner.

2. HUGO BOSS
HUGO and BOSS are both brands owned by fashion company HUGO BOSS but the two have different styles. HUGO is a modern line that includes streetwear, casualwear and athleisure, while BOSS is a classic line that emphasises formalwear and luxury essentials.

Searching for a suit that has a contemporary look? Get their Modern-Fit Suit in Micro-Patterned Performance-Stretch Fabric (S$950), a suit cut to a modern fit by HUGO. Blended with wool, the performance-stretch corset is woven using a dobby micro-pattern.
If you are looking for an extra slim suit to show off your lean figure, go with their Extra-Slim-Fit Suit in Checked Performance-Stretch Cloth (S$1,206), a versatile suit by HUGO. This attire is made using checked performance-stretch cloth combined with wool.

3. Common Suits
Common Suits hopes to empower men to not just look their best through their suits but also inspire them to be at their best. They wish to help men develop taste — the sort of taste that is fearless yet grounded, unapologetic yet modest, sophisticated yet effortless.

For over a decade, they have made it their mission to be at the forefront of tailoring in the region, pioneering a novel approach to menswear that marries tradition, innovation, and climate-conscious design. What began as a single store in Singapore in 2014 has since expanded into Manila, Jakarta, and Thailand, supported by an in-house production team.
Unlike other tailors, Common Suits believes in constantly reinventing the wheel and being unsatisfied with the status quo. This led them to be the first to create a Southeast Asian-centric construction that is lightweight and breathable, just for our hot and humid climate.

The tailor in Singapore specialises in luxurious fibres. These include Vicuna, cashmere, and superfine wool, which are rather delicate fabrics and require technical expertise to handle.

Besides luxurious fabrics, there is also something for everyone. They make bespoke suits for business wear and weddings, or even casual outfits like sports jackets, trousers and shirts. Their sales consultants have over 20 years of experience combined and can help you choose the right fabric, provide guidance and ensure you get the best suit for your needs.

4. CYC Made to Measure
Closing in on a century of tailoring excellence, CYC Made to Measure was established in 1935 and is widely regarded as Singapore’s oldest tailoring establishment. Many of us know them for being the personal tailors to Singapore’s founding father, Lee Kuan Yew.

With that pedigree, it is easy to understand their stellar reputation. Today, the third generation of the family continues to build on the CYC Made to Measure name at their flagship store at Capitol Singapore.
They practice a meticulous craft, blending old-world classics with modern silhouettes. Talent is essential to this trade but so is material. CYC doesn’t falter here either; they are one of the few local houses with direct access to the world’s most prestigious mills, including Thomas Mason, Albini and Loro Piana.
I recommend getting their custom-made shirts, perhaps because I am an LKY fan and appreciate the heritage, but also because each piece is so wonderfully constructed. CYC Made to Measure are the experts of the full-canvas bespoke suit, too, and their combination of tailors’ mastery and premium fabrics is second to none.
Some of Singapore’s most well-regarded companies have their uniforms made by CYC Corporate Label.

8. The Prefecture

The Prefecture is a bespoke menswear local brand that specialises in tropical casual wear. Their foundations lie in classical tailoring and they serve a discerning corporate client base.
It is helmed by Mr Q, who has 15 years of experience as a menswear designer and stylist. Mr Q’s obsession with clothing fabric, colour, structure and improving your looks through style deepens with each year, so you can rest assured that your clothes are in good hands.
During the first meeting, they take up to 23 measurements of your body. Thereafter, they will go through a guided fabric selection process with you. They will then draft your body pattern for a test fitting. The test fitting is usually 2 to 3 weeks after your initial meeting.
Your garments are then sent into production where adjustments will be made. This takes 2 to 3 weeks. An appointment will be scheduled for you to try on your clothes before billing.
9. Q Menswear

10. Mohan’s Custom Tailors

Mohan’s Custom Tailors is one of the oldest tailors in Singapore and the few remaining authentic bespoke tailors. This tailor made it to the list of “The Best of Singapore Excellent Services 2007” by the Singapore Tourism Board.
You have full creative control over the fabric used and have more than 1,000 different materials to choose from. These include fabrics from England and Italy, wool, cashmere, silk, and linen among others.

11. Suit Yourself

Suit Yourself was founded in 2016 as a school project. Their goal since day one has been to make tailoring accessible to everyone. Driven by modernising old-school practices and daunting shopping experiences, they strive to create a brand that is modern in every way.
Schedule a visit to get an overview of their tailoring process and feel their fabrics. Their style advice is free. Pick from a wide range of colours, fabrics as well as customisations. Everything from the buttons to the lining and the monogram embroidery is chosen by you.
In under a minute, their 3D body scanner takes thousands of body measurements to the nanometre. This is combined with precise manual measurements to ensure a fit to the T.
Garments are completed over a few weeks, at which point you will be invited back in-store for a fitting. If there are tweaks to be done, they will be made within a week (depending on the complexity of alterations required). They will inform you once it is ready for the next fitting.

How to choose the right tailor in Singapore
Choose based on how much guidance and customisation you need, as well as turnaround time. For traditional bespoke workmanship and premium cloth, Ron & Rich, CYC Made to Measure and Meiko Tailor suit buyers who value handwork, structured construction and a long-term wardrobe piece. If you want a suit that suits Singapore’s regularly hot and humid climate, Common Suits and The Prefecture focus on lighter, breathable tailoring with a more consultative fitting process.
For speed or convenience, Mohan’s Custom Tailors is the practical option for urgent timelines, while Suit Yourself suits first-timers who prefer 3D body scanning and a clearer process. If you want contemporary ready-to-wear rather than full bespoke, HUGO BOSS works well. The right choice usually comes down to whether craftsmanship, comfort, speed or simplicity matters most.
