Coffeeshops A.K.A kopitiams, are my favourite places to have comforting meals. I’m almost certain that I rarely come across a food stall at a coffeeshop that offers TexasMexican food options. Proudly opening to the public on 31 May 2022 at 4pm, Amigo’s latest addition at Bukit Batok East offers their new TexMex menu.

Amigo’s is a MUIS Halal certified establishment that is also part of the Tenderfresh Group which consists of ToriGo!, Hawkerman, Golden Rooster and others. Offering quintessential western delights with a mouthwatering selection of main courses and side dishes, their Bukit Batok East outlet’s menu comes with a strong Texas-Mexican influence. Currently, Amigo’s Telok Blangah Drive outlet is the ONLY other outlet that has this selection of Tex-Mex food items. The other existing 13 outlets island-wide only offer their normal western menu. This new outlet will also be applying for Halal certification upon opening.

Located just 2 bus stops away from Bukit Batok Central, their upcoming brand new outlet offers their signature items such as their chilli con carne hotdog, Tex-Mex fried chicken with Mexican salsa, guacamole & salsa loaded fries, chicken fajita aglio olio, and much more. As I was looking through the pictures of their new offerings, I literally drooled as I have a soft spot for Tex-Mex food.

I am jealous of the people staying in Bukit Batok— for being able to get delicious Texas-Mexican fare that will not burn a hole in the pocket. Amigo’s if you do see this article, please consider opening a Tex-Mex outlet in the North in the upcoming future if possible!
