New Muslim-friendly restaurant Halal Hangout has Western and North Indian cuisine

If you’re looking for a new spot to hang out with your friends and loved ones, Halal Hangout has got you covered.

Opened on 1 July 2022, Halal Hangout is a new Halal-certified restaurant located along Kampong Bahru Road, serving Western and North Indian food.

The restaurant offers soups like Cream of Tomato (S$5.90) and Cream of Wild Mushroom (S$6.90), as well as salads like Fresh Garden Salad (S$6.90), Caesar Salad (S$6.90) and Warm Seafood Salad (S$11.90).

Start off with classic appetisers, including Focaccia Garlic Bread (S$6.90), Grilled Sambal Fish (S$12.90), Crispy Crab Cakes (S$9.90), BBQ Chicken Wings (S$7.90) and Garlic Fries (S$7.90).

Halal Hangout’s mains consist of classic Western options, such as Hawaiian Pizza (S$16.90), Meat Lovers Pizza (S$17.90), Seafood Gumbo Pizza (S$17.90), Vegetarian Pizza (S$14.90) and Beef Pepperoni Pizza (S$14.90).

Their pasta offerings come with the choice of penne or spaghetti, with varieties like Aglio Olio (S$14.90), Spaghetti Bolognese (S$14.90), Penne Beef Ragu (S$14.90), Crab Meat (S$15.90), Mushroom Carbonara (S$14.90) and Vegetarian (S$13.90).

You could also opt for their mains, including chicken, lamb, fish and beef dishes. Have your pick of steak with the Ultimate Tenderloin Steak (S$37.90 for 200g, S$49.90 for 300g), Ribeye Steak (S$29.90 for 200g) and Sirloin Steak (S$22.90 for 200g). Chicken lovers can try their Rotisserie Chicken (S$16.90) or Chicken Cutlet (S$15.90).

Alternatively, get their Rack of Lamb (S$29.90), which comes with tender lamb meat on the bone served with mint jelly, brown sauce, mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables, or their Fillet of Salmon (S$22.90), a pan-seared freshwater salmon served with lemon butter sauce.

Halal Hangout’s North Indian menu consists of three types of Naan served with curry and dhal: Butter (S$2.50), Garlic (S$3.50) and Roti (S$2.20). You can also get Butter Chicken Masala (S$12.90), Pepper Chicken Masala (S$12.90), Chicken Tikka Masala (S$13) and Panner Tikka Masala (S$11.90).
