We all know Chinese New Year as the season of familial love and warmth, and Steamed Society embodies just that.
In the spirit of CNY, the hawker chain will be giving out free set meals on 17 Feb 2024 for CHAS, Public Assistance and Pioneer Generation Card holders.
In case you’re not familiar, Steamed Society specialises in steamed Chinese dishes and nourishing soups. While they have multiple stalls islandwide, the free set meals will be dished out exclusively at their West Coast outlet.
The set is fixed and includes a bowl of Mui Choy Pork Pâté Rice (U.P. S$2.90), Old Cucumber Soup with Pork Ribs (S$2.90) and a side of either Braised Peanuts (U.P. S$1.50) or Braised Cabbage with Oyster Sauce (U.P. S$1.50).
To enjoy a set on the house, you will have to present any of the 3 aforementioned cards. Do note that it’s limited to 1 set per pax for dine-in only and is available while stocks last.
This isn’t the first time Steam Society’s benevolence has been well-noted. The same West Coast stall made the news in Dec 2023 for giving out free Christmas meals to the elderly.
That aside, the brand prides itself on its delicious menu of rice bowls and nourishing soups that can be enjoyed without burning a hole in your wallet.
You can check out their Value Combos available at all outlets daily. These value-for-money set meals entitle you to a Mui Choy Pork Pâté Rice and a Soup Dish for S$5.50, while S$6.90 gets you an additional Side Dish.
