It’s no secret that Jalan Besar is home to many big names in the arena of pig’s organ soup. To be honest, I always find myself doing a quick Google search to differentiate their names because they are just so similar.
However, I do know one thing that’ll keep Mun Kee Pig Organ Soup on our minds: they’ll be offering free mains at their Foch Rd outlet on 23 May 2024.

Perhaps you’d like a little introduction? Otherwise known as Wen Ji Jalan Besar Pig’s Organ Soup, Mun Kee Pig Organ Soup is a relatively new kid on the block. They opened in 2023 in a Tampines kopitiam and recently launched another outlet at the freshly renovated Bistro 8 kopitiam along 30 Foch Rd on 13 Apr 2024.
Mun Kee is notably helmed by Mdm Huang, a former staff member of the renowned Cheng Mun Chee Kee Pig Organ Soup, which is situated just a few doors from their Foch Road stall. You see, the names can indeed be confusing, especially given the proximity.

But I digress. Mun Kee will be offering 1 free main per customer come 23 May. This comes as part of a charity campaign that the establishment will be hosting. Mains will be distributed on a pay-as-you-wish basis, with all proceeds to be donated to the Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital.
Do note that this 1-day-exclusive deal will only be available at their Foch Rd outlet. Additionally, while the stall opens 24 hours a day, the deal and campaign will run only from 9am to 11.59pm.

Now, let’s get into what you can expect to enjoy.
First, we have the Pig’s Organ Soup (S$4.80/S$6.80). This signature dish consists of a medley of pork slices, pork balls, tofu, pig stomach and liver bathed in a tangy, gao broth enriched by salted vegetables. Oh, I can’t forget to mention that you can get free soup refills when you dine in.
Noodle lovers can opt for mee sua or kway teow in your soup for S$5.30. Alternatively, those who don’t particularly fancy offal can go for the Lean Meat Mee Sua/Kway Teow (S$5.30).
If you’re a fan of stronger flavours, you can also get the Vinegar Pig’s Trotters (S$6.80/S$8.80) or Sesame Oil Chicken (S$4.80/S$6.80).
Good food and a good cause? I’ll see you there!
