Westies in the Jurong area have a new dining hotspot – BK Eating House has opened their latest outlet at Block 134 Jurong Gateway Road. There are a whopping total of 14 different stalls! The selection just about covers almost every possible craving one could have.

Big names include the likes of Simon Road Hokkien Mee, Soon Lee Fish Soup, and Hwa Heng Beef Noodle.

Simon Road Hokkien Mee probably needs no introduction. Formerly known as Nam Heng Hokkien Mee, their flagship outlet is located at Kovan 209 Market and Food Centre.

The style of the mee here falls into the category of “can’t really decide if its dry or wet”, but it tastes great all the same. The outlet here offers satay in addition to their signature dish.

There’s also Soi19 Thai Wanton Mee – you no longer have to travel to Bangkok to enjoy this style of wanton mee. Started by Singaporeans who learnt the art of Thai wanton mee, this dish features springy egg noodles in a choice of either the original lard-based sauce, black sauce or served in soup.

Not feeling like having noodles? There’s Siam Square Mookata for dining with friends or family, and Skillet Western if you want some good old-fashioned Western delights.

And just in case you’re not into any of the above options, there’s also dim sum to be had, with novel creations such as Purple Rice Loh Mai Kai and Wholemeal Molten Milo Lava Pau.

To sweeten the offering, there’s a midnight dim sum deal where late-night supper fiends can enjoy all varieties of dim sum for just S$2. If that’s not an excuse to eat supper more often, I don’t know what is.

Opening hours of the stalls are 8.30am to 9.30pm, with the exception of the dim sum stall which is 24 hours.
