Damansara Uptown’s food court beside The Starling Mall has always been popular for its good food from hawkers we actually know by name, the kind of easygoing vibes fit for lepaking or a quick lunch, and that familiar PJ bustle that somehow makes every meal taste better.

The only catch was the weather. A sudden downpour or a midday heatwave could turn even the best char kuey teow run into a minor battle.

Now the space has stepped into a new chapter as UPtown Eats — an indoor setup with proper seating and a far more polished look. The much-loved food court is officially back and it feels noticeably more comfortable than before.

What was once an open-air jumble of tables, umbrellas, and scattered stalls has been reimagined into a shaded, well-organised dining area. You can finally enjoy your meal without sprinting for cover or braving the afternoon sun.

The flavours that built its reputation remain firmly in place. Crowd favourites such as Ah Keong Yong Tow Foo, D’ Thai Eats, Haja’s Café, Steven Western Corner, Uptown Curry Fish Head and Yazid Steak continue to anchor the space.

Expect countless options like char kuey teow, chee cheong fun, yong tau foo, chicken chop, rojak, nasi campur, and other picks in between. The lunch crowd still flows in, dinner regulars still return after work, and the lineup of stalls remains familiar in all the best ways.
A few stalls have yet to be filled, giving the refreshed space room to grow. With renovation works at the Uptown 7 carpark now completed, the entire area feels a little more put-together and ready for its next wave of loyal diners.
If anything, UPtown Eats brings back the spirit of the old food court in Damansara Uptown — just with better shelter, sturdier seats, and a touch more comfort. Will you be visiting soon?
