Come January 2026, Mr. Tuk Tuk will open its first Johor outlet at Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru — marking a new chapter for the well-loved Thai street food brand. For local diners, it is a familiar name finally making its way south.

Founded in 2015, Mr. Tuk Tuk takes its name from Thailand’s iconic three-wheeled transport, a fitting symbol for a brand rooted in everyday Thai culture. Since its early days in the Klang Valley, the brand has expanded steadily to 11 outlets.

This includes nine Mr. Tuk Tuk restaurants, as well as sister concepts Koh Samui Thai Express and the newer Mr. Tuk Tuk Cha Kafae

That commitment to authenticity has earned Mr. Tuk Tuk notable industry recognition. In 2024, the brand was named Best Authentic Thai Cuisine Brand at the ASEAN Food and Travel Awards

It also holds the Thai Select Classic Award, an official certification from Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce that recognises restaurants serving genuine Thai cuisine abroad.

On the delivery front, Mr. Tuk Tuk has been rated Best on GrabFood, receiving millions of 5-star ratings from diners, a testament to its widespread appeal.
