Durian enthusiasts, what are you up to this durian season? If you’ve been looking around for the best durian deals, you’ve probably heard of the upcoming durian buffet at FairPrice Xtra, or cheap Mao Shan Wang at your nearby durian store. But have you heard about this S$1.95 durian sale at FairPrice?

Yes. S$1.95. For 1 durian. I thought I was hallucinating when I first read it, but I wasn’t, and you’re not either.

This annual durian flash sale in 2026 will be launched across 3 FairPrice outlets from May to Jun: Bedok North Blk 212 (22 to 24 May), Kang Kar Mall in Hougang (29 to 31 May)Elias Mall Atrium in Pasir Ris (5 to 7 Jun).

During the sale, you’ll find kampong durians weighing between 600g and 800g. Small, but the S$1.95 price tag makes it value for money.

Sales start at 9am, and the offer is limited to the first 300 customers of the day. Each customer can purchase a maximum of 2 durians, while stocks last. You’d want to wake up early for this. As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm!

At this price, I believe that few durian fans would want to miss out on it. In fact, it’s the king of all durian discounts I’ve encountered so far!

Not a fan of kampong durian? The S$85 durian buffet would probably be more suited for you then, because you’ll be able to feast on a wide selection of premium varieties for 1 hour. Alternatively, you could still purchase premium durians at regular prices.

I can imagine the snaking queues that’ll form outside the 3 outlets over the next few weekends, and how some may sigh in frustration when stocks run out, or they don’t make it to the first 300 customers.

But don’t worry, you have 3 chances, and if things don’t work out, you still have next year!

I can't cook, but I can eat and tell you if the food is good. I love almost everything that goes with coriander, spring onions or vinegar, but absolutely hate ginger and garlic.
