Passengers taking ferries from Singapore, as well as cruise travellers, now have a new departure location to acquaint themselves with. From Jul 2026, the ferry and cruise operations currently being carried out from Singapore Cruise Centre will relocate to the newly constructed facility at HarbourFront.

This relocation will occur in 2 phases. In the first phase, Batam Fast Ferry will be the first to operate from the new terminal from 7 Jul 2026. This will be followed by the rest of the ferry operators, such as Horizon Fast Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry, Sindo Ferry and Indo Falcon Shipping & Travel, as well as cruise operations, moving to the new facility from 15 Jul 2026.

Passengers can rest assured that routes, sailing schedules and destination points will not be affected. Some of the popular ports, including Batam Centre, Harbour Bay, Sekupang, Tanjung Balai, Gold Coast and Nirup Island, will be accessible as before, while the berth sites at those destinations will stay the same too.

Those travelling with Batam Fast Ferry from 7 Jul onwards are encouraged to arrive earlier than usual. A new building naturally means new layouts, check-in counters and boarding procedures to navigate, and allowing extra time can help avoid unnecessary stress before departure.

The ease of reaching the departure point hasn’t changed either. If you’re still opting for HarbourFront MRT Station, Exit B will take you straight to the terminal through a sheltered linkway system. Walking conveniently from VivoCity is still a possibility, so making use of that last chance to enjoy bubble tea or have a quick bite to eat before the trip should be just as easy as before.

With the opening of the new terminal, travellers can expect to enjoy new facilities such as new technology-based services and many other conveniences, which will make their journey more comfortable. Food and beverages, shops, and money-changing counters will all be there at the terminal for travellers to settle their pre-ferry arrangements.
