Absolut Food Fest 2023 will have 200 booths & 50 celebrity appearances

A weekend in Kuala Lumpur almost always includes at least 2 of the following: jalan–jalan around Central Market, malls, and food festivals. If you’re already thinking of making plans for Merdeka weekend, you can tick off activity number 3 with Absolut Food Fest 2023. Absolut Food Fest 2023 is collaborating with Coca-Cola Malaysia to bring you the best food fest experience possible.

This year, the food fest will run from 31 Aug to 3 Sep (Thu to Sun), which means that KL and Selangor citizens have more than a weekend to explore the festival grounds! The venue is pretty fitting with the fact that the event is happening during Merdeka weekend too, as Absolut Food Fest will be located at Parking B of National Stadium Bukit Jalil.

Be prepared to feast on the widest selection of food you’ll ever see from 12pm to 12am. With 200 booths, don’t be surprised if you end up spending the whole day there. Not only will you get to sample on dishes you’ve never tried, you’ll also be serenaded by the sweet voices of the artists performing. Every night, the event will hold a mini concert featuring local performers.

Oh, and did I mention that entrance is free?

Although the organisers haven’t announced who exactly is going, they promise that 50 celebrities and hundreds of influencers will be in attendance. They’ll even host meet and greet sessions, so visitors stand a chance of meeting their favourite artists.

Similarly, the list of food vendors hasn’t been revealed to the public yet. However, you can expect to find both local delicacies and cuisine from all over the world.
