Let’s be real, there’s always space for ice cream. But instead of sticking to the plain ol’ boring flavours, why not spice it up with salted egg yolk-flavoured ice cream? It might sound strange to you, but  FairPrice Finest has brought in Salted Egg Yolk & Boba Ice Cream Bar from Taiwanese brand A-CHINO that is sure to satisfy any salted egg yolk fanatics!

Each box contains four ice cream bars going at S$12.90 per box. The ice cream flavour features salted egg yolk blended with creamy milk and finished with boba pearls.

Salted Egg Ice Cream

Personally, I found the flavours of the ice cream slightly too bizarre for my liking. Though it was sweet and savoury, the combination of flavours incorporated into the ice cream wasn’t a good mix, in my opinion.

However, the hero for me is undoubtedly the chewy brown sugar pearls. Packing a soft, chewy and bouncy bite, each bite of it guaranteed a taste of caramelised flavour which really helped to perk up this sweet treat.

Though this quirky ice cream combination wasn’t very much to my liking,  I would highly recommend everyone to give it a try at least once in their lives for the novelty. Who knows, this unusual and whimsical ice cream delight might be straight up your alley!
