First dibs: The new Amazin’ Graze x Fruce Breakfast Smoothies start your morning right

Are you the type to set your alarms an hour before you’re actually supposed to get up so you can hit that snooze button at least five times and enjoy just a few more minutes underneath the covers? Or are you the morning bird that hums along to the coffeemaker and makes wholesome breakfasts inspired by viral TikTok recipes? Either way, the new Amazin’ Graze x Fruce Breakfast Smoothies will be perfect for an on-the-go breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up. Morning birds and night owls, rejoice!

Fronting the series of Amazin’ Breakfast Smoothies is the Avo-Cocoa Hazelnut (S$7), which boasted a creamy blend of Fruce’s crowd-favourite Avocado Coconut and pre-blended Hazelnut Blackforest Granola from Amazin’ Graze. The combination of blended granola, coconut, and avocado tasted quite like the perennial Pinterest-inspired smoothie bowl recipes. Though admittedly filling and slightly too jelak for my liking, it will definitely uphold its promise to keep you energised and fuelled for busy days where you’re on-the-go throughout. 

The Peanut Butter Swirl (S$6.70) reminded me of my younger days, where I’d eat a slice of peanut butter toast whilst walking downstairs to catch the school bus every morning without fail. With swirls of Amazin Graze’s Honestly Smooth Peanut Butter paired with Fruce’s signature Coffee Nagoya base, this smoothie combines well-loved breakfast flavours into a creamy concoction that’s rich, comforting, and worth every minute I spent scraping the sides of the cup for an extra lick of peanut butter.

The slightly savoury peanut butter paired with sweet coffee is definitely not a pairing you’d expect, but I’d say this duo might just become be as iconic as Batman and Robin.

I saved the best for last–the Superfood Sesame Almond (S$7) is a gritty, earthy blend of Fruce’s signature Coffee Nagoya base with Amazin Graze’s Black Sesame Almond Butter. This indulgent drink is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and reminiscent of the popular Asian black sesame paste desserts. It might be too overwhelming for some, but the thought of having dessert for breakfast is definitely a novel idea that I would love to get behind. Sorry not sorry, mum.
