Fans of the Brazilian açaí bowl will be excited to know that An Açaí Affair has opened its newest outlet at Bedok. That ‘Are you from the east? Because you make my heart go bedok bedok‘ pick up line suddenly feels extra relevant.

For the uninitiated, açaí bowls are a smoothie made from an açaí pulp base with a range of toppings. Popular options are fruits, granola, and superfoods such as chia seeds, goji berries and cacao nibs. Because of its rich antioxidant content, açaí bowls are a healthy way to go if you want a sweet, refreshing treat.

An Açaí Affair offers a range of Signature Açaí Bowls, such as the Lean & Green (S$7.50 for small, S$10.70 for medium, S$16.10 for large). Choose between açaí with banana cacao or passionfruit mango spirulina, and have that complete with a serving of fresh fruits, granola and superfoods.

All bowls come with a drizzle of honey, cookie butter, almond butter, peanut butter or cashew butter (+S$1), so you’ll be in for some good textural contrast in your bowl of goodness.

If you’re in the mood for something tangier, try the Lemon Squeezy (S$6.70 for small, S$9.90 for medium, S$15.30 for large). The lemon sorbet will have your lips puckering.

Looking for something heavier? Try the Bravocado Toast (S$7.30), with almond butter, fresh avocado and honey on toasted sourdough bread. If you still want a sweet option, the Berry Crunchy (S$6.30) and the You Butter Believe (S$6.30) will be your go-to. Everything here just speaks wholesomeness and wellness.

Their menu is also vegan-friendly, offering a great option if you don’t consume animal products.

An Açaí Affair has been growing in popularity over recent years, with new outlets sprouting across the island. With this newest outlet at Bedok, I’m sure the east dwellers will be flocking there in droves. Better get in line if you want some!
