Baybeats 2026 celebrates its 25th anniversary as Singapore’s biggest and most exciting free alternative music festival. Rock on 3 to 6 Sep at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay with 48 acts from the world of indie rock, punk, metal, hip-hop, ambient and experimental sounds.
Where will Baybeats 2026 take place?
Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is a massive location, and the local and international performers will beat their tunes across 5 stages:
- LiveWire Stage (Esplanade Forecourt Garden) – Hardcore, alternative rock, shoegaze and metal on an open-air stage; location most likely to host mosh pits.
- Arena (DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre at Esplanade) – Mix of indie rock, hip-hop, funk and surf rock for an energetic yet tempered intro to the festival; catch Baybeats Budding Bands here.
- Chillout Stage (Esplanade Concourse) – Aptly named, the place to slow down and take it all in with gentle beats.
- Annexe (Esplanade Annexe Studio) – Get up close and personal with artists performing garage rock, emo, math rock and screamo. Registration required.
- Powerhouse (Singtel Waterfront Theatre at Esplanade) – Bigger sets and more elaborate productions of instrumental rock, math rock and reggae indoors. Registration required.

Baybeats is the best place to catch emerging local talent as well as bands you already know from around the world. With 48 bands performing over the 4 days and across 5 stages, it can be hard to know where to be and when.

Local
Local alternative music aficionados will recognise names such as Disco Hue, MUFF, Soggy Jeans, Says It All and enec.e. Stay tuned for never-heard-before collabs and impromptu mashups.
International
Experimental-rock trio Boris and math-rockers the cabs from Japan, Bilderbuch from Austria, progressive metalcore Cancer Game from Macau, South Korean indie rockers HOA and Indonesia’s The SIGIT promise to make Baybeats 2026 a festival to remember.

Baybeats 2026 is more than just music
Baybeats has always been about the music community rather than the music alone. This year’s edition features a series of fringe events for music lovers, music collectors and music creators.
Festival Village
The Festival Village is open 3 & 4 Sep (6pm – 12 am) and 5 & 6 Sep (5pm – 12am).
Located at the Esplanade Courtyard near the Annexe, the Village is the place to get your hands on official Baybeats event and artist merchandise. There will also be hands-on activities, such as album art design. Check out Beatsverse, an interactive virtual world on Roblox featuring music from Singapore alternative acts.
Gear Market by Gas Attack
Running 3pm – 10pm on 5 & 6 Sep (Sat & Sun) at the Esplanade Black Room on Level 3, this flea market is the place to buy and trade pre-loved musical instruments and equipment.
BACKLINES
Making its debut at this year’s festival, BACKLINES brings artists and fans together to explore live music in an intimate setting, and to discuss the state and future of independent music in Singapore.
How to get to Baybeats 2026
Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is about 450m from Esplanade MRT station. Use Exit D and head south on Raffles Link, turn right onto Raffles Avenue, then take the first 2 lefts.
