Remember a few years back, when Black Star Pastry in Sydney, Australia first introduced the Strawberry Watermelon Cake? Taking Instagram feeds by storm, this delicate dessert had many raving about it.

If you’re one of those who couldn’t wait to get your hands on a slice, here’s some good news.

This 26 October 2019, head over to Sugar Alley @ Plaza Singapura for your little slice of cake heaven. To celebrate Plaza Singapura’s 45^th birthday, 450 slices of the Strawberry & Watermelon Cake will be available from 10am onwards.

If you’re one of the lucky first 45 in line, you can purchase a slice of the cake for S$4.50 (usual price S$9/slice).

A single watermelon slice is sandwiched between layers of almond dacquoise (nut meringue layer) and rose-flavoured cream. The cake is then beautifully topped with dried rose petals, pistachios and strawberries.

Mmm, just think about the fresh floral fragrance and juicy crunch from the watermelon, and the tart, sweet strawberries.
