Looking for things to do this weekend? Look no further as the long-awaited Bon Odori in JB is finally here! The event will take place at Eco Galleria, Iskandar Puteri, from 19 to 21 Jul 2024.

The event is themed ‘Kaidou‘ this year, symbolising unity and cooperation. This time around, the festival will feature over 200 stalls offering a variety of Japanese food, games, fashion and handicrafts. The range of activities is sure to keep you entertained throughout your visit to Bon Odori.

Participants can catch an exclusive Maguro Kaitai, an on-site giant tuna cutting performance by a professional chef from Japan. This marks the first-ever in JB! Sashimi lovers, make sure not to miss out, as freshly-sliced tuna sashimi will be available for purchase. This event is rarely seen even in Japan, so you definitely don’t want to miss it.

By then, the venue will be adorned with Japanese elements like cherry blossom trees, Mount Fuji photo ops, Daruma dolls, traditional Japanese lanterns, and more! You can also experience wearing a yukata, making you feel as if you’re truly in Japan.

Additionally, the event will feature food booths offering signature Japanese delicacies such as taiyaki, sushi, kushi katsu, oden, Japanese premium beer, and a range of other mouthwatering dishes.

If you’re a fan of Japanese variety shows, you’ll have the chance to see the renowned regular performers— The 3 Gaga Heads from the show Kasou Taishou! The fun doesn’t end here! Tons of exciting activities are waiting for you to try.
