Anyone craving some rice dumplings? With Dragon Boat Festival (端午节) happening next month, it is time we land ourselves a host of rice dumplings to feast on! Bak Chang, also known as rice dumplings, is a traditional Chinese rice dish made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves. Luckily for us, BreadTalk Singapore has up the ante and graced us with delectable Double Delight Rice Dumplings available from 5 May 2020 at all outlets.
They are also currently available on their website at S$29 for six or S$58 for 12. You can even order them before 11pm for next-day delivery!
These heartwarming fillings promise to be an explosion of flavours in your mouth. One of the dumplings features stir-fried pork belly, black mushrooms, and golden chestnut nestled in quality glutinous rice. I can’t help but feel excited looking at this entrancing beauty; this robust and flavourful dumpling is sure to hit the spot.
The other being a well-balanced sweet and savoury combination, starring traditional pork filling and handmade green bean paste wrapped within glutinous rice. For one with a slightly sweet tooth and would like the best of both worlds, here’s a dumpling you might resonate with.
In all honesty, you could really try making them yourself this ‘Circuit Breaker’ period and let us know how it goes. Otherwise, snag some of them at BreadTalk Singapore’s and share them with your loved ones!
