For those of you with a sweet tooth, you might often find yourself craving brown sugar milk drinks from The Alley or Tiger Sugar. But with prices starting from S$5 onwards, these aren’t the most wallet-friendly drinks.

Well, here’s some good news for you. Head over to a nearby 7-Eleven store, and you can actually stock up on bottles of this Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Drink with pearls included for only S$2.70!

Available in a 450ml bottle, this popular bubble tea drink is made in Taiwan and supposedly contains no preservatives and artificial colourings.

I am not particularly fond of overly sweet drinks, so I asked my friend (a self-proclaimed bubble tea connoisseur) to give a more objective take on it after sampling.

It turns out that I wasn’t the only one that found the drink to be too sweet.

The drink also contains konjac pearls instead of the traditional tapioca pearls. This might be because tapioca pearls will harden over time, so it may not be the best option for a bottled drink. After all, the drink will most likely be sitting in the fridge of a convenience store over an extended period of time.

Don’t expect the pearls to have that signature chewy texture that we all love, but oh well, you are paying half the price as compared to a “branded” milk tea.

And if you have a late-night craving for some brown sugar milk drinkyou can just pop by your nearest 7-Eleven to get yourself a bottle.

Dates & Times: Now available at all 7-Eleven outlets

Price: S$2.70 per bottle
