If you’ve been grocery shopping or eating out lately, you’ve probably felt it already. A small basket of groceries costs more than it used to, and even a simple meal at the hawker centre adds up. So, the latest tranche of CDC Vouchers worth S$500 released on 11 Jun 2026 will be of great help to many households.

This release comes earlier than scheduled. According to the original plan, it was going to be released in Jan 2027, but was rescheduled due to the increasing cost of everyday necessities as a result of rising fuel prices and the Middle Eastern conflict.

Each household gets S$500 in total. The first S$250 can be used at hawkers and heartland shops, and the other S$250 goes to supermarkets. In other words, it covers both a quick lunch downstairs and a weekly grocery run.

Data on how CDC vouchers are being used was released in Jan 2026. They show that out of 1.36 million eligible households, 94.5% claimed these vouchers. More than 80% of those vouchers, valued at S$151 million, have already been used at hawkers and heartland merchants; another S$158 million in vouchers was spent at supermarkets.

Since the scheme was launched in 2021, more than S$4.64 billion has been spent via CDC vouchers, including senior and adult support schemes. This Jun 2026 release is the ninth round so far.

Singaporeans should take note that no physical letters will be sent out, in line with the push towards digital processes and sustainability. However, help is available at Community Centres and SG Digital Community Hubs.

Eligible adults will also receive a Cost-of-Living Special Payment of between S$400 and S$600 in cash this Sep.
