As much as I love to travel across the country just for the sake of visiting the famous makan places there, I sometimes refrain from getting my hands on food that I know will be stuck in my head for at least 2 to 3 business days.

I mean, who has the time for a 4-hour car ride just to satisfy the demons in your stomach? It’s like a long-distance relationship — it’ll never work! Which is why I’m so stoked when I heard that Doña Bakehouse is finally coming to KL on 14 Sep 2024.

Even though it’s not as big as its quaint 2-storey JB counterpart, this new patisserie located in TSLAW Tower is equally hard to overlook. Adorned with alluring mahogany wood and warm, rich brown hues — it’s the perfect place to overshare with your friends while enjoying a fabulous plate of warm baked goods paired with a cup of coffee.

The ambiance exudes vintage vibes through and through, so you can snap a couple pics too while you’re at it. Now, my fellow KL peeps will finally have the chance to experience first-hand the magic of the Johor-born bakehouse.

Living up to its name, Doña Bakehouse serves freshly-made baked goods ranging from sweet to savoury. Their bestselling sugary treats feature Classic Pain Suise (RM13.90), Blueberry Creamcheese Danish (RM12), and Pistachio Rose Croissant (RM16.90), amongst others.

Want something more filling for lunch? Dig into their signature Doña’s Focaccia (RM8), topped with olives, cherry tomatoes, mushroom, and ham. Don’t miss their new Artisan Pizza series with 5 flavours you can choose from, like Classic Margherita (RM28) and Pesto Salmon (RM36) — only available on weekends.

Psst psst, Klang Valley commuters — stop at TRX MRT Station on your way back and walk around the area to get a taste of the talented Doña crew’s handiwork, as they are giving out free pastries during soft-launching period from 10 to 13 Sep 2024!
