From a hawker stall at Seah Im Food Centre to multiple outlets all across Singapore, Eat 3 Bowls has come a long way. Its newest flagship outlet at NEX is the 10th one, and they’re debuting several new menu items exclusive to this outlet.

The outlet is located on B2, near &JOY Japanese Food Street. The interior is bright and cosy, with lots of woody elements.

Eat 3 Bowls’ iconic Specialty Beef Noodles (S$17.90) and Taiwanese Clear Broth Beef Noodles (S$17.50) make a return. Previously launched in 2018, these bowls of beefy goodness would often sell out rapidly before lunch hour, and now, they’re only available at the NEX flagship. The broth is a labour of love, taking many hours of slow simmering to achieve maximum flavour. Both varieties are limited to just 30 bowls a day

Another NEX-exclusive menu item is the Pork Chop Egg Fried Rice (S$12.90). The thick and juicy pork chop paired with fragrant, egg-filled fried rice was extremely comforting and one of the dishes I really enjoyed.

salt and pepper oysters

The Salt and Pepper Deep Fried Oyster (S$12.80) is part of the new Taiwanese Zi Char lineup. Fried oysters can be hit or miss, but these savoury, briny morsels completely hooked me. Applying the same technique for salt and pepper Taiwanese fried chicken to these oysters added a new crunch and flavour dimension.

3 cup chicken

One of the other items from the Taiwanese Zi Char lineup is Three Cup Style Chicken (S$13.90). This dish is a guaranteed “rice thief” with its strong savoury and slightly sweet flavours, derived from careful preparation with soy sauce, sesame oil and rice wine.
