It’s that time of the year, where we sometimes end up scrambling to organise gatherings for the holidays. While we have to keep our social groups small this year, there are plenty of delivery and takeaway options for a hearty meal right at home. Ellenborough Market Café at Swissôtel Merchant Court wants to make that happen for you, with plenty of festive bundles for you to choose from—regardless of party size.

At S$88, there’s an adorable Christmas Nutcracker Afternoon Tea for those who wish to hold a more intimate catch-up at home with a dear friend. The bundle includes savoury bites such as honey baked ham with caramelised onion on rye bread and prawns Thermidor and cheesy mashed potato tartlets, as well as sweet delights such as Festive Stollen and Traditional Fruit Cake, in addition to their Classic and Cranberry scones with Singapore sling jam and clotted cream.

In this afternoon tea, Ellenborough Market Café has a special festive addition with Duo Cheesecake and Sticky Date Pudding, among many others—including a complimentary pair of nutcracker soldier ornaments (12cm). If you’re looking for a substantial feast to feed friends and family, we suggest the Christmas in the Orient bundle (S$295), which serves around eight to 10 pax.

You’ll start off with a DIY Kueh Pie Tee, Black Pepper Baby Rock Lobster, and Lotus Root, Peanut and Pork Rib Soup before sinking your teeth into a choice of either Roasted Nyonya Garam Masala Turkey or Honey Glazed Gammon Ham (semi-bone-in). This is accompanied by a modest selection of sides such as Sambal Onion Eggs and Nasi Bunga Telang (butterfly blue pea coconut rice), before you treat yourself to a sweet ending of assorted macarons and Acai Banana Chocolate Yule Log Cake.

To really bring the yuletide cheer to the celebrations, you have the option to add on a 750ml bottle of Mulled Wine for only S$62 (U.P. S$78), which comes with two complimentary Christmas mugs by Swissôtel Merchant Court. Alternatively, there are a la carte options available as well, should you wish to mix and match your tummy’s desire with a variety of festive goodies for your choosing.

Take, for example, the Roasted Tom Turkey (4.5 – 5.5kg, eight – 10 servings) (S$168) or the Australian Black Angus Tomahawk (1.2 – 1.5kg, three to four servings) (S$188) for the meat enthusiasts in your circle. For a spectacular centre-piece—that will prove to be just as delicious for eating after—the Chocolate Christmas Tree (S$68) will certainly prove to be a conversation starter. It’s topped with variegated pralines, meringues, and macarons for all your family and friends’ enjoyment.

Do note, however, all festive bundles and goodies from Ellenborough Market Café require a few days of advance bookings, so make sure to place your order early to avoid disappointment. Pre-orders are available now until 28 December 2021, 6pm, and collection and delivery start from 1 December 2021 to 2 January 2022. There’s even complimentary delivery to one location for orders above S$350nett.

We might not be able to rejoice in the festivities in as large a group as we used to, but we definitely can share a memorable meal with the closest and dearest to us, surrounded by one of the most scrumptious festive feasts in town!
