Like many major holidays, the Lunar New Year is best spent with family and friends. During this time of the year, we are usually expected to be home ushering the brand new year with all the feasting and catching up.
If you have yet to make plans for your reunion dinner, or if you are scratching your head to find appropriate food that will satisfy all your guests, fret not, as Grain is here to provide you with a wholesome and unexpected catered experience this festive period from 10 January to 10 February 2020.

Usher in the Year of the Rat with a delightful medley of dishes thoughtfully crafted for social gatherings. Bond with families, friends and colleagues through Grain’s festive catering Prosperity Buffet (minimum order of 30 guests) that are available at S$19.88 (10-course), S$26.88 (12-course) and S$32.88 (13-course) respectively.
If you are planning for a smaller gathering with less than thirty guests, opt for the Fortune Bundle (11-course) priced at S$288 per set, enough to feed at least a group of 10. Complementary to the food experience, you will also get an off-menu surprise gift set with each buffet order!

Cheer in the Lunar New Year with Grain’s Prosperity Reunion Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng (S$39.88). Unlike our normal yu sheng, you will find crispy codfish fillet strips added in the dish, alongside sprinkles of candy “fireworks” that not only add texture to the dish but signifies a year of abundance ahead. If you are catering to vegetarians or vegans, the vegetarian salmon option (S$39.88) is also available.

A perfect celebration to a bounteous 2020 will call for a Prosperity Bountiful Abalone and Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng (S$68.88), comprising of not only the smoked salmon but also sixty baby abalones that will make each mouthful a rich and hearty delight.
The round steamboat pot symbolises the idea of “Reunion” and that’s probably why having steamboat has become a highlight during this festive period. Hot pots tend to taste more or less similar, with the few soup bases available in the market. So why not try something different this year?

Grain’s Emperor Treasures Hot Pot (S$100 per three hours, S$7 per guest with a minimum of 30 guests) features herbal chicken hot pot broth, with a bamboo basket containing a variety of ingredients specially selected to enhance your steamboat experience. Fresh seafood add-ons are also available, starting at S$3 per guest.

Looking for something more fancy to impress your guests? Golden Abalone Treasure Pot “Pen Cai” (S$238) is exactly what you are looking for! Each ingredient in this nutritious clay pot of prized seafood treasures is cooked separately to achieve its optimal texture and colour. They are then braised in the clay pot over the superior sauce for over two hours to bring out its deep and rich flavours.
Be surprised by the taste of the white radish found at the bottom of the pot as it completely soaks up the flavours of the stock and essence of the seafood released during the cooking process.
As we welcome the spring festival early this year, Grain will be offering an irresistibly light and airy Chrysanthemum White Chocolate Cake to early planners who order any Chinese New Year buffet menu (capped at 200 guests per event) by 15 January 2020.
With the list of mouthwatering dishes and affordable prices, what else are you waiting for? It’s time to start planning for the feasting to come as we count down to the Year of the Rat!
