I’m sure everyone has heard of the Australian bushfires—the way the fires are leaving a path of destruction and devastation in their wake. You’ve seen the videos of thirsty rescued koalas and kangaroos, but how can you lend a helping hand from Singapore?
On 25 January 2020, Green Is the New Black is partnering with Kilo Kitchen to organise a fundraiser to raise money for the affected communities and wildlife rescue.
With the generous support of Collectius, all funds raised will be fully donated to respective communities in Australia. The event will take place on the grounds of Kilo Kitchen from 6 – 11pm, and will be fully sponsored.
Tickets will be priced at S$115 and will include a vegetarian feast, an array of beverages, and live entertainment to accompany you through the night.
The charities involved are FRRR (The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal) and Wildlife Victoria.
The former supports bushfire-affected communities and work on emergency relief. And the latter provides a vital link for the community between sick, injured and orphaned Australian wildlife and the appropriate response and care needed.
Expect a 4-course vegetarian meal prepared by Kilo Kitchen and three complimentary drinks. Some of the foods included are Impossible Foods, wines from Merci Marcel, tequila and cocktails from Codigo, beers from C R U S T and Kombucha from Bushwick.
Kick back and relax with grand drag performances by Lykkie Liquor & Mona Kee Kee as well as live music from Oliver Osborne & David Carollo.
For more information about the event, hop onto Facebook and check out their event page. You can also buy tickets and donate at this site.
To me, I think that it will be a joy to be able to enjoy yourself and help Australia out in just one night alone. Every little bit counts.
