New in town: Hai Ge Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice – Possibly the best halal chicken rice?

Calling all chicken rice fanatics! North Bridge Road welcomes a new kid on the block to its eclectic and diverse food scene – Hai Ge Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice.

Spearheaded by local celebrity couple Sheikh Haikel and Anna Belle Francis, their joint venture officially launched on Sunday, 7 Jul 2024, and it’s there for one thing and one thing only: to serve and deliver halal Hainanese chicken rice.

Both Anna and Sheikh have taken to social media, announcing the launch of Hai Ge Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice, with Anna sharing a heartfelt message thanking their loved ones for making this happen. 

She also shared that they could not have picked a better year as 2024 commemorates their 25th wedding anniversary, and with the launch of Hai Ge Ji, it also marks the start of Sheikh’s dream coming true – to open his very own chicken rice restaurant.

On Sheikh’s social media, he also announced the launch of Hai Ge Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice in a video clip while managing to squeeze in a bold statement about the food served at his new restaurant, proudly declaring it “the best halal Hainanese chicken rice.”

As of now, they have not released a menu or price list online. Apart from the traditional Steamed and Roasted Chicken Rice, expect to sink your teeth into other tantalising dishes such as Crispy Chicken Skin, Beef Kong Bak Bao, and Chicken Congee, among others.
