Have you eaten hotpot alone before? Well, I haven’t, because it’s usually cheaper to eat hotpot in groups.

However, the Premium Solo Hotpot Set Deal (S$19.90++) at Haidilao Hot Pot @ Royal Square Novena from 4 May to 31 Jul might just encourage me to try my first solo hotpot!

Solo dining has the perk of letting you choose your favourite dishes, but often comes with a drawback: you can’t order a wide variety, because it’ll be difficult to finish the food.

With this deal, you can still achieve variety by matching your favourite soup base with a selected meat, vegetable, tofu, side and staple! Sounds like a complete and rounded meal!

That’s not it! To complete the feast, you can choose a drink or Haagan-Dazs ice cream so that you feel filled and satisfied from your meal.

Before you visit the outlet to indulge in your solo hotpot, take note of some T&Cs: you have to be a Haidilao member and dine in at their Novena outlet. Takeaway, delivery and self-collection meals are ineligible for this promotion.

The deal is only offered during off-peak hours: before 6pm (Mon to Thu), before 5pm (Fri and eve of PH) and after 9pm (Sun to Thu). Don’t drop by on a weekend or public holiday, because the promotion won’t be available all day!

Additionally, this offer cannot be combined with other promotions or vouchers, such as student 30% off or points redemption vouchers. It is also non-exchangeable for other dishes, and prices do not include GST and service charge.

Despite that, with meals at Haidilao often costing above S$40 per person, this solo hotpot deal sounds enticing! Perhaps I’ll drop by Haidilao Novena the next time I feel like eating alone!

I can't cook, but I can eat and tell you if the food is good. I love almost everything that goes with coriander, spring onions or vinegar, but absolutely hate ginger and garlic.
