If you frequent hawker centres in the MacPherson and Redhill area, take note! From 1 Oct to 31 Dec, Blk 79/79A Circuit Road Hawker Centre, Redhill Market and Redhill Food Centre will be closing for repairs and redecoration. This 3-month renovation is part of the National Environment Agency (NEA)’s ongoing efforts to enhance hawker centres and markets in Singapore.

Located at Block 79/79A Circuit Road, this hawker centre that has many offerings from laksa to fish soup to briyani, will definitely be missed. Thankfully, there is another hawker centre nearby — the Circuit Road Market & Food Centre that customers can visit as an alternative.

Yes, the name sounds incredibly similar to Circuit Road Hawker Centre, but it is a totally different eating spot at Block 80. I imagine this place will become more packed in the next 3 months when everyone comes here instead. But hey, can’t complain as long as there is good and affordable hawker food, right?

Just take note that the 80 Circuit Road Market & Food Centre will also be closed on 13 & 14 Oct for cleaning.

Jumping over to Redhill, there is a market and a hawker centre that will be on break for the next 3 months. The former is Redhill Market, located at Block 79 Redhill Lane

The latter is Redhill Food Centre, located next to Redhill Market at Block 85 Redhill Lane. We are certainly going to miss the fried carrot cake, curry rice and satay beehoon from this hawker centre until 2026. Redhill hawker centre lovers, we feel you.
