Besides lounging around all the furniture and imagining our perfect, future home, many of us travel the distance and beat the queues to eat the celebrated classic Swedish meatballs at IKEA.
But why not step out of your comfort zone and enjoy IKEA’s $5 Festive Set Meals available until 15 June 2018 this month of Ramadan?
Every set comes with a chicken drumstick braised in respective, zesty sauces and sides ranging from lightly fried tofu, green beans, a boiled egg to stir-fried cabbage with carrots.
Don’t worry if you missed the Satay Chicken Set and the Masala Chicken Set because there are still other delicious options to try.
While the Chicken Briyani Rice Set ($5) is only available at IKEA Alexandra, other traditional dishes such as the Ayam Masak Merah Set ($5) and Nasi Kunyit Set ($5) are served at the Tampines store.
This is great news for our Muslim friends and IKEA foodies alike, but be warned that these specials might be sold out by the time you get to the restaurant, so be swift if you’d like to take a bite of the sets!
If only the Ramadan menu could stay permanently, I might actually opt for the juicy chicken braised in spicy tomato sauce over meatballs and chicken wings.
