Not sure if you feel the same, but nightlife post-COVID has become more vibrant than ever, with an increasing number of supper spots springing up. Recently, I stumbled upon Jiah Xiang Dim Sum at Taman Sentosa that stays open 24/7. It’s not difficult to tell its specialty by its name.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the time-tested shopping centre— Plaza Sentosa. It spans across 2 shop lots and is easily identifiable from the roadside.

Since it’s a dim sum specialty store, let’s begin with their dim sum selections. Some options I found popular are the Jia Xiang Siu Mai (RM5.80), Shrimp Dumplings (RM6.80), Spicy Chicken Feet (RM5.80), Scallop Dumpling (RM6.80), and Shang Hai Xiao Long Bao (RM7.50). They feature over 20 varieties of steamed options on their menu.

If you’re not a fan of steamed dishes, don’t worry. They also offer an array of fried dim sum such as Deep Fried Taro Dumpling (RM6.80), Kataifi Mango Shrimp (RM7.50), Salted Egg Yolk Oyster Rolls (RM7.50), amongst others.

From 1pm to 12am, the eatery serves entrées like Braised Pork Knuckle (from RM22) as well as Martell Rice Wine Chicken (from RM22) which is prepared with the renowned liquor. Interesting!

Don’t miss out on their weekend special if you visit on a Saturday or Sunday. The menu adds on Fo Ben Piao Xiang Thai Chicken (RM9.90), yam ring with chicken, Cha Shao Su (RM6), crispy puff stuffed with char siew, and Crystal Spinach Shrimp Dumpling (RM6).
