You wouldn’t think kampong style communal cuisine and upscale French cuisine have much in common, but culinary collective Paris Pop-up is determined to bring these two concepts together.
For three weeks from 13 November to 3 December 2017, they will host Kampong French at Open Farm Community.
This three-week restaurant take-over will introduce an all-day dining menu with 12 plates, both small and sharing.
For all you indecisive diners, why not sit back and let the chef do the choosing? The Omakase ‘Feed Me’ ($60) menu comes with a chef’s selection of eight dishes. If you want to soak in the French vibes even more, opt for the Wine Me ($50) pairing, and let sommelier Laura Vidal select five wines to go with your food.
Where does the kampong side come in? Paris Pop-up sources ingredients from the local farmers and suppliers, just like how our grandparents and great-grandparents grew their own crops and reared chickens in the kampong.
Head on down to Open Farm Community for a dining experience that has the best of both worlds. You won’t want to miss this unique restaurant pop-up!
