Michelin Bib Gourmand 2017: The Second Edition Brings You 38 Restaurants & Street Food Joints That You Must Try In SG

The Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore (not to be confused with Michelin stars) is a list of eateries that offer food of an exceptional quality, priced not higher than $45. This is the list you’ll need to check out if you’re on a tight budget but want delicious food that won’t disappoint.

The 2017 list marks the second edition, and features both restaurants and street food establishments — 38 have made it to the line up this year, with nine newcomers.

Scroll to the bottom for the full list, but for now, here are three of our favourites:

1. New Ubin Seafood

New Ubin Seafood serves up surprisingly good beef, despite being a zi char stall. Check out our review for recommendations on what to eat and also for a discount you might be able to cash in on.

2. Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant

Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant - Hitsumabushi 2

This Japanese restaurant which specialises in unagi prepares the eels fresh and grills them to perfection before serving them piping hot. We loved how the tender flesh of the eel contrasted with the crispy grilled skin. Read the full review of Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant here.

Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant: 1 Keong Saik Road, #01-01, Singapore 089109 |Opening hours: Mon – Sat (Closed on Sun): 11.30am – 3pm (Last order 2.30pm), 6pm – 10.30pm (Last order 10pm) | Facebook

3. 328 Katong Laksa

famous singapore food laksa

The laksa broth at 328 Katong Laksa is incredibly rich and full of flavour, with a strong coconut milk taste that is balanced with the spiciness of chilli. The prawns are also always super crisp and fresh. You won’t have a doubt as to why it’s on this list after trying a bowl for yourself.
