If I told you there was Korean food for as low as S$6.80 in Bugis, you might think I’m slightly cuckoo. What if I said you could also have as much rice, kimchi and soup as you wanted with it?

Enter Mincheng Bibimbap, a chain established in 2008 that specialises in Chinese Korean ethnic cuisine. Their food is a unique blend of flavours inspired by the culinary heritage of the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in China. They currently have outlets in 100AM and Funan, with their latest being in Bugis Junction.

They offer a range of bibimbap with different toppings. The flavour is described as being more peppery leaning with a notable Chinese twist. If you’re in the mood for noods, they also have Naengmyon (S$8.80), which are chewy buckwheat noodles served in a chilled broth.

For sharing, there are dishes such as Seafood Tofu Soup (S$8.80), and Hot Plate Cheese Corn (S$8.80), perfect for that super Instagrammable cheese pull!

As if that wasn’t enough, there is also free-flow rice, seaweed soup, and kimchi.

With such a wide variety of mains and sharing dishes, you’ll be spoiled for choice. The free-flow sides also ensure you’re not leaving hungry.

In this economy, the wallet-friendly prices also make it a great destination for a lunch date with friends. Personally, that Hot Plate Cheese Corn has got me salivating and I’m getting that for sure. How could you say no to all that cheese?
