While things are still rather dreary, here’s a spot of shining good news amidst the doom and gloom. Mustafa Centre, previously closed for disinfection since 4 April 2020, is reopening—partially.

The Little India megamall reopened at 12pm on 6 May 2020, but only for the supermarket section. Other sections selling products such as clothes, electronics and shoes will still remain closed. So, don’t go rushing down for a shopping spree!

If you’ve been to Mustafa Centre, you’ll know that the space is huge—55,000 sq ft, to be exact. Rest assured; the mall management has put in place necessary measures to ensure that it’s a safe space to pick up essentials. This includes limiting the number of people (325 at maximum) at any time and monitoring the numbers to enforce this.

To further limit the numbers and monitor the space, only one entrance and two exits will be open for now.

Thinking of making a trip down to Mustafa Centre? Then you’ll need to get your IC scanned and take a temperature check, just like at other supermarkets in Singapore. With 100 employees working in shifts, you’ll be able to find it well-stocked.

We still need to maintain safe-distancing and mask up every time we leave our houses. But hopefully, this is the first in a series of reopening outlets (hint, McDonald’s), and things will look up for Singapore soon.

Until then, #StayHome, stay safe, and stay strong.

Dates & Times: Mustafa Centre re-opened on 6 May 2020, at 12pm.

Prices: N.A.
